Working with pizza resturant franchises has taken John thru marketing and HR strategies every major and or regional pizza business player. This includes large national companies such as Pizza Hut, Domino's, Little Cesar's, Papa John's, Papa Murphy's and regional chains such as Godfather's, and Breadeaux Pizza of Iowa.

In 1992 John's Power Group Company initiated the "Power Card", a consumer multiple usage discount card. The cards usually had an average of 16 different higher velocity retail outlets displaying their individual discounts for consumers. Everyone of these cards started with "core" retail components of pizza and video outlets.

By 1994 "The Power Card" was prevalent in 38 different markets and used by more than 1/2 million consumers. Later, as the Power Card was copied by countless organizations and The Power Group moved into niche affiliate marketing. This experience proved to be a great background for understanding how so many service retailers operate and affiliate marketing partnerships. John Farr seemed to gain a hands-on doctorate in service retailing.

In the last 3 years John has executed more than 300 radio contracts for video chains and tanning salons. With the majority of these agreements is the added value hook of including pizza as a cross promotional partner. John's "pizza partners" have been the recipients of millions of dollars in no cost advertising because of John's efforts. Pizza outlets and chains will continue to be a focus of his work with advertising inserts and his growing list of retail marketing collaborations.
