Elements of a Successful Monthly Salon Employees Meeting
- Hold it somewhere with privacy, the ability for everyone to sit and be comfortable enough to interact, and preferably not in the salon. This avoids interruption from after hour salon calls, consumers knocking on doors, the “same old atmosphere”. You want spontaneity, creativity and thinking outside of the box. A hotel or casual dining private meeting room is neutral territory and helps induce new approaches.
- Have an agenda - work off of last month’s meeting results and current priorities. Get employee feedback about an agenda one week prior to the meeting.
- Conduct the meeting every month same day, same time, consistency aids pre-planning and involvement.
- Appoint a new meeting chair each time.
- Appoint subject captains for:
- Lotions
- EFTs
- Employee suggestions and concerns
- Start with this suggested outline. (15 minutes each b through f)
- Welcome and thanks for being on time.
